MP visit for The Big Pedal 2015!

Today, Swaythling Primary School was visited by Caroline Nokes – MP for Romsey and Southampton North! She wanted to come and find out a bit more about The Big Pedal and how we were doing in the national competition. She was impressed by the involvement of our children and parents, and the events the school have run to promote more sustainable travel. Children from Year 5 have been tallying our travel information every day and Caroline spoke to them about their involvement and why we thought it was important to take part. The children explained that travelling by bike and scooter protects the environment, saves money and is really fun! With so many reasons to get involved, let’s try and make tomorrow our best day yet!
