We are proud to be an inclusive one-form community school in the multicultural and diverse ward of Swaythling.                                                    We are on the northern edge of Southampton, close to the University of Southampton, with great transport links and easily                           accessible within the city and from M27 and M3. We are a maintained school, part of the Aspire Community Trust, meaning we
benefit from the close working partnerships across our family of schools, as well as from the local authority.

We are immensely proud of all that we have achieved in recent years. Our rapid school improvement is a testament to the hard                   work and collaboration of the staff, governors, pupils, parents, and the wider community, which has fostered a strong ‘Swaythling               Primary family culture’.

As our next aspiring leader, you will be dedicated to providing the highest quality education and care for our children, staff, and                    wider community. You will need to be passionate and share our school vision:

  • Inspire a passion and thirst for memorable and lifelong learning.
  • Provide our community with the best life chances to thrive and achieve.
  • Give us the knowledge, skills, and values to succeed.
  • Enable us to make a positive impact within the community and the wider world.
  • Ensure every child is successful at school and beyond.

While the progress and achievements of Swaythling Primary School are strong, we have high aspirations and we want you to build             on the momentum and continue to drive our vision and ensure success for each and every child. You will need to share and                              demonstrate our school values: Teamwork, Honesty, Innovation, Never Giving Up and Kindness.

To support our diverse community, you will be a highly effective communicator and capable of engaging our children and wider                     community. You will have the ability to inspire trust and confidence, with the kindness and love that we have put at the centre of                 our school.

Your proven track record in driving improvement and achieving excellent outcomes in the primary phase will ensure that under your         leadership our school continues to improve, and our children thrive and reach their maximum potential.
